We work with cities, developers, properties, businesses, venues, and community organizations to create experiences that draw people in, encourage participation, and give people a reason to come back.

No Surprises was founded by an Abilene, Texas native whose career has been shaped by a passion for creating experiences that bring people together. After attending Texas Tech and moving to Frisco, the founder spent more than a decade working in events and destination environments, producing more than 150 events.
That experience shaped a simple belief: the strongest experiences do more than attract a crowd. They help people discover a place, connect with their community, and build a relationship with the spaces around them. Today, that perspective is at the heart of No Surprises Events & Design. With roots in Abilene and experience across a variety of event environments, we bring a thoughtful, place-focused approach to every project.

Our work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. We take the time to understand the goals, opportunities, and character of each place, then develop programming that brings those elements together. From concept development and event design to vendor coordination, sponsorships, logistics, permitting, and on-site production, we manage the moving parts required to bring the experience to life.
We create thoughtful programming, execute it exceptionally well, and create meaningful value for the places and people it serves.

We see events as an opportunity to do more than bring people together for a few hours. The right experience can introduce people to a place, support local businesses, strengthen community connections, and give people a reason to return.
Our approach starts with understanding the place, the people it serves, and what the experience needs to accomplish. From activating a public space to bringing new energy to a development or creating a community tradition, we develop programming with both the experience and the bigger picture in mind.
